TXKAzzAlane Streams That Dragon, Cancer Tuesday at 5PM Central Extra Life 2016

I'm not sure how to say how I feel about my next stream. Excited or happy sound creepy. Not dreading it as much as one would think might be the best way to describe it. I will be playing That Dragon, Cancer to launch our 2016 Extra Life donations on Tuesday, January 12 at 5PM Central.  We won't be spending much time pitching Extra Life until November, but I couldn't pass up the chance to start with the launch of this game.

That Dragon, Cancer tells the story of the Green family as they care for their son, Joel, who had brain cancer. I don't know much beyond that. I want to have the moral support of my regulars, like Idiotwithajob, MathGeek314, homohustle, twonky, and our G2G friend, as well as any new comers who would like join me.

I have a dear friend who had a much shorter, but similar struggle. I wrote about her on my Extra Life page and will continue to honor her and remember her daughter with each year I do Extra Life. Please watch and consider donating to Children's Miracle Network hospitals directly or through Extra Life.

I know Keys thanked everyone a while back, but I wanted to as well. I started with TXKHotsauce in July.  It's been a crazy ride. I had hoped to entertain a few people and possibly make some friends. I never expected to chat with people from all around the world.

Another #Undertale post

AzzA here. My Undertale 99% blind run is tomorrow at 1 PM Central. I wanted to talk about a couple things I have been asked.

What does 99% blind mean?

I have played the demo. I wasn't very impressed so I just left it alone. I've read a couple reviews that Ant and Louie pre-screened to try to figure out why I didn't like it, but everyone else seems to love it so much.

If you didn't like the demo, why didn't you read spoilers? 

Rex regretted playing the first time off-stream. I figured I should stream it blind if I played it at all.

Why play it now? 

For the children! I promised a blind run during Extra Life and got donations specifically mentioning it.

Are you just going to trash the game?

No. I wouldn't play something just to bash it. That wouldn't be fun for me or anyone watching. If something is really great, I will react accordingly.

Are you going to "have a change of heart" and love the game?

Who knows? Hopefully, my opinion will change. Just like I said, I will react how I react. I won't fake loving it any more than I would hating it. I won't disrespect the game or it's fans like that.

Undertale on the schedule

Because I met my Extra Life goal, I'm playing Undertale for the first time (other than the demo) on the 21st. I have read some reviews, but no spoilers. If you can't make it, I will be posting a video on the TXKHotsauce NWA Stream Archive.


While I play, I will be trying to get Rex's goal met too! He has some great things planned when he makes it.



Personally, I'd like to get all three teams to $200 so we can get a t-shirt per team. Right now, I'm feeling bad that we got them but no one else.

#ExtraLife goals, #Giveaways, and Challenges

We are in the home stretch for Extra Life. As of noon on Nov 1, we have $61 as a team. We would like to do more so we have set some goals for giveaways and challenges.

We are open to adding to these. Comment if you have anything you would like for us to consider adding. You don't have to say what you would donate to see it, but it would be nice.

NWA Project Updates

The NWA crew is still working on reviewing Mario Maker levels. We have the first batch of levels recorded, but life has gotten in the way of doing the voice over parts. We hope to have that out soon. Submit your level if you would like us to review it for the series.

We don't use emulators to stream to have as authentic of a experience as possible, so we are limited to what we have or can get. So, we have just started trying to catalog the games we can stream. The progress so far is here. Let us know if you see anything you would like to watch us play.

On that note, we will be adding DS and 3DS games to our stream very soon.

We are also still begging for donations for Extra Life. Please donate using the thermometer to the right or at least share the link to our team. If you have any ridiculous things you would like to see us do for a donation, comment on this post! Just be ready to really send the money, Azza and Louie are kinda crazy.

We reached 350 subscribers on Twitch a few days ago during RexStrider's Mario Maker stream. As promised, we will be giving away a Toad Amiibo.  We are talking about bonus drawings for other goals, such as Facebook likes, Twitter followers, or more Twitch subscribers. Once those are ironed out we will have more details. Keep an eye out!


Ant, Louie, and I are starting a new YouTube project. We plan to rate and review Mario Maker levels made by you. I've added a link in the menu bar to a form to submit your levels. We want levels made by the person submitting them or by a friend rather than ones you find. We plan to play and rate all the levels we receive and post a blog about them. As many as possible will be used in videos.

Super Mario Maker

I've spent a couple hours on Super Mario Maker and I am pleasantly surprised.  I thought it would be a very isolating game- one of us at a time making levels for the others to see later. It's actually better as a social game. My brother, Louie, and I lost track of time making levels together. It reminds me of helping him draw levels when we were really young.  The things we came up with as a team were much better than my solo attempts.  I want to try out streaming it and getting input from people in chat.
